Spring is the season of transformation! Just as nature begins to bloom and stretch toward the sun, our bodies and minds crave the same awakening. It's the perfect time to realign with our wellness goals, invite in fresh energy, and shed what no longer serves us. This month, we’ll explore ways to support your body’s natural rhythm of renewal—through movement, mindfulness, and holistic practices that help you thrive from the inside out.

Welcome Sunstone Sound Healing!

We are thrilled to welcome Isabella Nemec, of Sunstone Sound Healing, to the Integrative Health and Wellness Center!

Beginning this month, Isabella will be a regular contributor to our monthly newsletter—sharing insight, inspiration, and education about the transformative power of sound healing. She'll also be leading monthly sound healing sessions at IHWC, with the first one happening on Tuesday, May 6th at 6:00 pm. These sessions are open to all and offer a beautiful opportunity to relax, realign, and restore through the healing vibrations of sound.

Cost: $40 per session or $100 for 3 sessions

Spring is nature’s great awakening, a time when the earth hums with new life, and our bodies, too, seek realignment. Just as birdsong and rustling leaves create a natural symphony, sound frequencies deeply influence our biology. Everything in the body vibrates at its own frequency, and when disharmony occurs—whether from stress, toxins, or emotional blockages—dis-ease can manifest, signaling an energetic imbalance.

Frequency informs biology because our cells, tissues, and organs communicate through vibrational energy. These frequencies regulate vital functions, from neural signaling to cellular repair, and when they are disrupted, the body falls out of harmony. When our vibrations are in balance, we cultivate health and vitality. Sound healing, through practices like singing bowls, tuning forks, and even the natural frequencies of flowing water and birdsong, helps retune our bodies, restoring harmony at a cellular level. Dis-ease arises when energy is stagnant or misaligned, but through movement, breathwork, sound healing, and mindful nourishment, we restore our natural state of well-being.

This season, embrace the healing power of sound and let your energy flow with the rhythm of renewal as the world around you comes alive. Try a sound bath to recalibrate your energy, take a walk in nature and tune into its soothing vibrations, or meditate to the gentle hum of spring. Let sound be your guide to balance, healing, and transformation.

This month, as the days get longer and the light shifts, your internal clock—your circadian rhythm—naturally adjusts too. Aligning your daily habits with these changes can boost your energy, mood, and overall wellbeing.

Sync with the Season - Spring Circadian Rhythm Tips 🌞

Here are a few simple tips to stay in sync this spring:

🌅 Rise with the Sun – Aim to wake up with natural light. Open your curtains early or take a short morning walk to signal your body it's time to energize. Let natural sunlight hit your eyes (without glasses or contacts) and stand barefoot on the earth. This simple ritual helps regulate sleep hormones, grounds your nervous system, and reconnects you with the natural rhythms of the day—setting a vibrant tone for everything to follow.

🍽️ Shift Mealtimes – Eat your largest meal earlier in the day when your digestion is most active. Keep dinners lighter and finish eating at least 2–3 hours before bed.

🚫 Limit Evening Light – Reduce screen time after sunset and use warm, dim lighting in the evening to help melatonin production and support restful sleep.

🌿 Get Outside – Exposure to natural daylight, especially in the morning, reinforces your body's rhythm and can improve mood and sleep quality.

Small changes in your daily rhythm can create big shifts in how you feel—inside and out. This spring season, we also invite your body to move with intention, just like the flowers reaching for the sun.
